Job Overview As a Crew Member at Dairy Queen, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and high-quality food to our customers. You will be responsible for various tasks within the restaurant, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment while providing friendly and attentive service. Duties Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining environment for guests. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Skills Experience in food preparation and handling within a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting is preferred. Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Previous culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus but not required.
