• Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal Jan's School of Dance JSOD is seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated dance teacher join our team for the 2026-2027 season, for recreational classes and competitive teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a commitment to fostering a love for movement in students of all ages. Afternoon, evening and weekend hours are available. With this job being part time, we are willing to accommodate with scheduling to best fit your needs! We are seeking to fill a couple roles:

• Recreational Teacher
• Competition Teacher

Acro Teacher Responsibilities:

Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level. Strong understanding of curriculum development and ability to create engaging lesson plans Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students. Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals in safe and inclusive enviornment. Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Choreograph routines and select music for recitals/competitions Provide a fun and creative environment.

Requirements:

Previous teaching experience required. Excellent communication skills. Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively handle classroom dynamics. A passion for dance and a commitment to promoting physical activity in a fun and supportive manner.
