GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Title I Data Coach supports student achievement through the implementation and monitoring of schoolwide intervention systems, data analysis, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) practices, and Title I programming. This position works collaboratively with teachers, interventionists, administration, and support staff to ensure all students receive targeted academic and behavioral support based on identified needs. The Data Coach will facilitate MTSS processes, title I programming, coordinate interventions, support data-driven instructional decisions, provide coaching to teachers, and work directly with students through small-group instruction.
EDUCATION
Completion of education degree, Master's preferred.
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of experience working in elementary schools; experience with implementing intervention programs for at-risk students.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
Valid South Carolina teaching certificate
PREFERRED
SCTS 4.0 Evaluator
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with elementary instruction and intervention programs preferred. Knowledge of
MTSS, PLC
processes, data analysis, and intervention strategies. Understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) practices. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with teachers, students, families, and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned. MTSS & Intervention Coordination Coordinate and monitor the schoolwide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process. Schedule, organize, and facilitate MTSS meetings and maintain required documentation. Analyze student academic and behavioral data to identify students needing intervention support. Monitor student progress and intervention effectiveness using assessment and progress-monitoring data. Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, school counselors, special education staff, and administration to develop intervention plans. Ensure fidelity of intervention implementation across grade levels. Supervision & Support of Interventionists Coordinate schedules and responsibilities for interventionists. Provide instructional support, coaching, and resources for intervention staff. Assist with planning targeted interventions aligned to student data and grade-level standards. Monitor intervention groups and student growth outcomes. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Promote and support implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) practices schoolwide. Assist teachers in designing instruction that provides multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression. Support inclusive instructional practices that meet the needs of diverse learners. Provide professional development and coaching related to differentiation and accessibility. Title I Facilitation Assist with coordination and implementation of Title I programs and initiatives. Support family engagement events and activities connected to Title I goals. Maintain documentation and compliance requirements related to Title I programming. Collaborate with administration to support school improvement and Title I plans. Small Group Instruction Provide direct small-group instruction and targeted intervention support to students. Support students in foundational reading and/or math skills based on identified needs. Progress monitor students receiving interventions and communicate growth with teachers and administration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Knowledge of appropriate strategies for reducing behaviors that place students at risk of not graduating high school. Ability to analyze, develop, implement, and track intervention plans and strategies. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USAGE
Use computers for data entry; or use hand-held power equipment or light machinery; Use computers for word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations or custom applications.
