Job Description

Job Summary The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows to support talent and workforce insights. This role requires strong expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, and data visualization tools. The ideal candidate will contribute to enterprise analytics platforms, ensuring data quality, governance, and performance while enabling data-driven decision-making across business functions. Key Responsibilities Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows to support analytics and reporting needs Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as Alteryx and SQL-based platforms Design, develop, and optimize queries using Snowflake and SQL Server for performance and scalability Create and enhance dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytics-ready data solutions Design and implement scalable data models to support reporting and analytics use cases Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards Maintain documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and reporting assets Automate processes using tools such as Power Automate to improve efficiency Integrate data from various sources using APIs Implement monitoring, alerting, and auditing for data workflows Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning and continuous improvement Identify opportunities to enhance data workflows, automation, and platform performance Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field 5+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics Strong expertise in SQL (Snowflake, SQL Server) Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation Hands-on experience with ETL technologies and tools such as Alteryx Extensive experience with Tableau and Power BI, including dashboard development and performance optimization Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation Strong understanding of data modeling (relational and dimensional) and ETL/ELT concepts Experience with API integrations Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security practices Ability to implement monitoring, alerting, and auditing mechanisms for data workflows Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience working in Agile development environments Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
