Job Description

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Database Administrator Specialist. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Job Summary The Database Administrator Specialist's primary responsibilities include faciliating project technical leadership activities across multiple business organizations spanning sectors that highly complex in nature, peform design of security and architectural models for complex projects and Provide proactive direction ensuring a stable and scalable solution, also conduit to translate functional business need into tangible action that delivers results meeting both the expectations of our customers and IT data governance responsibilities as part of a collaborative team. He should be defining, publishing and presenting solutions to technology leaders and business executives of the enterprise spread across geographies. The candidate should have a solid grounding in IT process, excellent technical acumen, strong business process knowledge, and the curiosity and drive to consistently deliver results that leverage and improve upon existing standards and best practices. The candidate must be highly self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to guide others in ambiguous situations. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to translate highly complicated techinical solutions into understandable and logical components Job Responsibilities The Database Administrator Specialist will be responsible for following primary functions: Hybrid Cloud Implementation such as Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI),etc. Define standards and design Database and application architecture. Design and develop system and process improvements from a user perspective, focusing on stability, system integration, and infrastructure impact. Migration of Eaton Environments to Cloud Environment Governance Security & Compliance Implementing several security and compliance standards, such as STIGS, DFARS, i
TAR, SOX, GDPR
etc. Design and Implement Access Control, Data Masking, Data encryption Architecture Participate in developing project plans and implementation strategies for enterprise initiatives Lead the data architecture of complex data integration and solutions. Capacity Planning Capacity Planning of the environments getting migrated to the Cloud - OCI and Azure Risk Assessment Design and implement High availability and Disaster recovery solutionsVulnerability identifications and mitigations Platform Stabilization Stabilize multiple platforms for critical business applications in the form of Performance, availability , new enhancement, etc. Implement new, advanced technologies and tools. Impalement new and advanced features along with new tools to improve overall support EXACC - Exadata at Cloud Autonomous Database and Data Warehouse solutions Failover mechanisms - Transparent Application Failover, Real Application Cluster Policies and Disaster Recovery Solutions Continuous Improvement and Automation Develop and Maintain applications using Oracle APEX Training and mentoring Mentor team members on new and advanced technologies and features
