Level 1 Installer / Break-Fix Technician (Data Center)
Location:
East Wenatchee, WA 98802 (Onsite)
Duration:
12-month contract with strong potential for long-term extension
Shift:
Must be open to rotating shifts, including graveyard/night shifts Overview We are seeking a Level 1 Installer / Break-Fix Technician to join our team supporting enterprise-class data center operations in East Wenatchee, WA. This is a hands-on onsite role focused on hardware installations, cabling, troubleshooting, and break/fix support within a fast-paced data center environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working overnight and rotating shifts. Responsibilities Perform rack-and-stack installations of servers, network devices, and related hardware Run, terminate, label, and test Fiber and Cat6 LAN cabling Troubleshoot and diagnose fiber optic cabling issues using diagnostic and testing tools Support break/fix activities and assist with hardware replacement and troubleshooting Follow established data center cabling standards and change control procedures Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to operational processes Work collaboratively with team members while also operating independently when needed Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude in a production environment Required Qualifications Experience with rack-and-stack installations and structured cabling Hands-on experience running Fiber and Cat6 cabling Experience terminating, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing fiber optic cabling Familiarity with enterprise-level data center environments Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be open to rotating shifts, including graveyard/night shift work Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an enterprise-class data center environment Experience working within change management or controlled operational environments
