Day Habilitation Services Specialist

Day Habilitation Specialist DHS Specialists provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that helps clients build independence and life skills while receiving individualized support tailored to their needs. Key Responsibilities Support clients in developing independent living skills and achieving Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals Provide transportation and assist with community activities and daily routines Maintain a trauma-informed, faith-based approach to care Lead daily devotions and encourage positive spiritual support Complete daily documentation and incident reports as needed Work collaboratively with team members, families, and caregivers Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Ensure compliance with HCBS and safety guidelines Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Must be at least 21 years old Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain professionalism and provide compassionate, Christ-centered care Clear background check required Ability to use computer/electronic systems Preferred Qualities Compassionate, client-focused, dependable, organized, positive attitude, and able to work effectively in stressful situations.
