Job Description

Job Summary Our company provides direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will help lead the individuals of our Day Program facility with: having a positive experience while out in the community, working on any of their personal goals which can include but not limited to: Socially appropriate behavior, budgeting money, being more independent riding the bus, and just being the best support to them. Buddies4life LLC has Day Program Staff (DSP) positions available at our: Day Program Facility located in Clearfield. Starting salary for our positions is $16
  • $19 per hour.
We provide paid training! Duties Will be required to drive Helping AM & PM transportation for individuals to get home utilizing personal vehicle. Transport individuals to and from any planned activity out in the community utilizing personal vehicle. Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess an individual's needs. Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities. Monitor, record, and communicate changes in client's condition and respond as appropriate to the needs of the client and family. Adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other governmental regulations. Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in anyway necessary based off of their care plan. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management if needed while at the Day Program Facility Implement individualized care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident Foster a safe and supportive environment for the individual(s)
Requirements:
MUST HAVE
a Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, and proof of full coverage auto insurance Ability to pass a criminal background check, and drug test upon hire Experience in care-giving Ability to establish a positive and supportive rapport with individuals Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management skills
Qualifications:
Knowledge of systems and procedures related to caregiving and support services Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals with developmental disabilities Compassion and empathy for working with people with developmental disabilities Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality Familiarity with resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals in your care Experience in home care, assisted living, or senior care is a plus This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring dedicated support.
