Day Shift Packaging - 12 Hr Shifts

All packaging personnel will be responsible for the following: To report to work as scheduled, on time, properly dressed and to the line assigned by the foreman on duty. To immediately review order specifications for the order currently running on the line to ensure accuracy and to instantly report any deviation from order requirements to the foreman. To continually perform quality checks to make certain bags or sheeting are the correct weight, count, and size. To continually check the product is free of straight-line tears, poor seals, discoloring, poor winds, poor perforations, blocking, pinholes, and poor quality printing. To always observe all safety requirements and to immediately report any unsafe conditions. To place product neatly into properly identified boxes, place the correct labels on the boxes, and properly place boxes on skids to prevent crushing. To move completed skids from lines, stretch wrap it, and bring to designated staging area. All packaging personnel will initial the quality control sheet next to the number that corresponds with the carton number that has been quality checked and to also record the weight of that case. By initialing the quality control report, the packer is reporting that the case contains product that is within specifications of the order. If there is a quality problem of any kind, it is the responsibility of the packer to report immediately to the foreman that a problem exists. This position requires a minimun lifting capacity of 50 lbs., fully able to bend, stretch, squat, ascend & descend stairs; and to have adequate visual ability to read instructions. To obtain repro, concentrates, boxes, skids, and cores cut to size as required. To continually maintain good housekeeping. To assist your fellow employee when possible and to help create a team effort. To leave sufficient boxes, concentrate, and other related materials for the next shift to cover at least 2 hours of production time. To follow all instructions and assignments given by the foreman or the person in charge of the shift.

Schedule:

8:00am - 8:00pm Rotating Schedule, work 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next Will work every other weekend

Pay:

$15.00/hour
