Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Day-to-Day Substitute Elementary Teacher to provide instructional support and classroom management during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting young learners, have strong classroom management skills, and be flexible in responding to various teaching needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction. Maintain a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment. Implement age-appropriate teaching strategies that promote the social, emotional, and academic development of elementary students. Provide instruction across core subjects, including but not limited to math, reading, science, and social studies. Manage classroom behavior effectively using established school guidelines. Support students' individual learning needs and adjust teaching strategies as necessary. Ensure students' safety and well-being throughout the school day. Communicate with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and support staff, to maintain a collaborative learning environment. Keep records of student attendance and behavior. Reinforce school policies, routines, and positive expectations in the classroom.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred). Prior experience working with elementary-age students (preferred). Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to be flexible and handle changing situations. Classroom management skills and experience with diverse groups of students. Must pass a background check and other required clearances.

Work Conditions:

Substitute teaching hours will vary, typically between 7:45 AM and 3:10 PM, depending on the school's schedule. The role is on-call and dependent on daily needs. Must be able to adapt quickly to new environments and interact professionally with staff and students.

$100.00 per day
