Daycare Assistant

Job Overview Wildflower Rising is a nature-inspired in-home daycare focused on creating a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Daycare Assistant to help support children's daily routines, play, and development in a cozy home-based setting. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education, gentle caregiving, and creating meaningful relationships with children and families. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during play, meals, naps, outdoor time, and daily routines Assist with infant and toddler care, including diapering, feeding, and comforting Support age-appropriate learning activities, sensory play, art, music, and outdoor exploration Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Encourage positive social interactions and gentle behavior guidance Assist with setting up activities and maintaining daily classroom routines Collaborate with the provider to support each child's developmental needs Ensure children's safety and well-being throughout the day Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Experience working with children preferred (daycare, nannying, babysitting, preschool, etc.) Reliable, patient, nurturing, and professional Comfortable working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children CPR/First Aid certification preferred Willingness to complete NYS childcare fingerprinting and required trainings Experience with special needs or neurodivergent children is a plus About Wildflower Rising Wildflower Rising is a small, relationship-centered daycare program located in Preble, NY.
