Daycare Cook

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cook/Housekeeping professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas of our facility are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, food preparation and comfort. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional service through meticulous cleaning, organization and cacfp food preparation. Must be able to be in ratio for ratio emergencies for state compliance and be familiar with the federal food program and portion requirements. Responsibilities Perform thorough meal preparation and cleanup, cleaning of classrooms after meals, common areas, kitchens, and bathrooms according to established protocols. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and .general areas. Assist with meal service areas by ensuring food preparation and serving spaces are hygienic and organized. Follow food safety guidelines during food handling, preparation, and storage to prevent contamination. Support dietary department activities by helping with menu planning and meal presentation when needed. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked, stored safely, and used efficiently to promote a safe environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to support catering events or special meal services as required. Experience Previous experience in meal preparation, housekeeping or custodial roles preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with food industry standards including food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Experience working in dietary or culinary settings such as restaurants or fine dining establishments is a plus. Knowledge of kitchen operations including food preparation, knife skills, and meal assembly is advantageous. Background in food service or catering environments will support successful performance in this role. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Pay:

$12.50 - $15.00 per hour
