Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Opener to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the classroom for daily activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with young learners, supporting their development and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Prior experience in childcare, preschool settings, or working with children with disabilities is highly valued. The Opener plays a vital role in establishing a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood growth and learning. Duties Prepare classrooms and learning materials at the start of each day to ensure readiness for children's activities Greet children, parents, and staff in a friendly and professional manner Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times for infants and toddlers Support classroom management by maintaining organization and cleanliness of the learning space Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including early education and behavior management strategies Monitor children's safety throughout the day, applying first aid when necessary Collaborate with teaching staff to facilitate smooth transitions between activities Document observations related to child progress and behavior for ongoing developmental assessments Uphold all health and safety protocols, including
COVID-19
guidelines if applicable Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with special needs is a plus Classroom management skills and experience with behavior management techniques Background in caregiving roles such as babysitting, nannying, or caregiving for children with disabilities is advantageous Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members This position offers an engaging environment where caring professionals can make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives while developing their own skills in early childhood education.Pay:
