Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic to join our dynamic food service team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the dietary department by preparing and serving nutritious meals, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities Assist in planning menus that meet dietary needs and preferences, incorporating balanced nutrition and appealing presentation. Prepare, cook, and serve meals with precision, utilizing strong knife skills and culinary techniques to ensure high-quality food. Handle food safely by following proper sanitation procedures, managing food handling protocols, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Support food preparation activities including chopping, mixing, portioning, and plating dishes efficiently. Provide excellent food service by serving meals with professionalism, attentiveness, and a friendly attitude. Collaborate with team members to coordinate catering events or special meal occasions, ensuring timely delivery and presentation. Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and safety compliance to support efficient kitchen operations. Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred. Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrates strong culinary skills. Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling procedures is essential. Experience working in the food industry or kitchen environments enhances your ability to thrive in this role. Knowledge of food safety standards and certifications related to catering or food service is advantageous. Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and safety protocols.
