Job Description

  • Looking for someone that is available 3-4 days per week and at least 1 weekend date per month!
The Model Home is a professional organizing company, servicing both residential and corporate clients. We are looking to hire a part-time professional organizer to help on a project basis.
Projects will include:
decluttering, organizing, and move management (including packing and unpacking). Our ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, adaptable, and understands that people's relationships with their things can be complicated. Workdays are all different and will vary from organizing bedroom closets to kitchens to cluttered garages etc. We are looking for organizers who are available approximately 10-20 hours per week. We cannot guarantee a minimum number of hours. Ordering product, donation drop offs and other client related errands are part of the organizing business. Specific Duties
  • Organize various rooms and spaces in residential homes, home offices, corporate, or other settings
  • Travel to client's location to do on-site organizing
  • May be asked to provide feedback on organizing supplies and solutions to meet the client's needs
  • Ideally you should be able to quickly assess complex clutter situations, untangle clutter, sort items into appropriate piles - all without judgment Our Ideal Candidate Requirements Willingness to learn and adapt to company culture Has a passion for and is drawn to organizing Has a high attention to detail Has a friendly personality, can collaborate and communicate, yet is also able to work independently and take initiative Is a proactive team player and able to take directions well Considerate, punctual, self-motivated, and follow directions well A love of helping others and a positive "can do" attitude Has strong customer service skills and work well with different types of personalities Is comfortable working with clients of all socio-economic levels Possesses excellent time management skills Can easily see how to utilize + maximize space where others do not Exhibits a professional work ethic Exhibits a professional demeanor and a calm composure when under pressure Has great listening skills Must be able to bend, reach, walk, climb stairs, lift to 30 pounds as necessary, & be physically active for up to 8 hours in the ordinary course of business Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must have reliable transportation with up-to-date insurance and registration and be able to travel within a 30 mile radius of DC area to a job site
