SHIFT=M-F Noon-8:30 pm

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Placement Clearance Desk Worker. Under direction, this position conduct involved searches from multiple informational sources to provide authorization or denial for placement of Department youth in care in licensed foster homes and unlicensed relative homes. This position will conduct background checks and review printouts. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department's call operations. Exercises judgment and conducts involved searches from multiple informational sources to provide authorization or denial for placement of Department youth in care in licensed foster homes and unlicensed relative homes in compliance with the Placement Clearance Process, Appendix E, Procedures 301 Keyboards appropriate information in SACWIS and prepares LEADS printouts for mailing Reviews hold requests and enters information in the PCD database Responds to calls from various department and purchase of service staff requesting information on placement clearances, holds, background checks, and Recipient Identification Number (RIN's) temporary medical cards. Maintains daily entry log. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school Requires 2 years of office experience Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass a background check. Requires ability to secure and maintain Illinois State Police LEADS certification. Requires ability to work mandatory overtime.
