Control Systems Engineer•
DCS & PLC
Location:
Phoenix, AZ Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead the design and delivery of automation solutions for projects across power, water/wastewater, oil & gas, and critical infrastructure sectors. This role focuses on DCS and PLC-based systems, supporting projects from design through commissioning, and working directly with clients and technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable control solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and implement advanced control systems using DCS and PLC platforms Develop system architecture, control logic, and software design documentation Configure and program DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems for complex industrial applications Support system testing, startup, and commissioning activities Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems in operational environments Work directly with clients to understand system requirements and deliver tailored solutions Define project scope, schedule, and technical deliverables Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 5+ years of experience in automation, controls, or systems integration Strong experience with the following platforms: Emerson Innovation Honeywell Experion Allen‑Bradley (Rockwell Automation) Siemens PLC/DCS platforms Solid understanding of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems Experience supporting projects in power, utilities, oil & gas, or critical infrastructure environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in client-facing roles Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Experience with system commissioning, field startup, and operational support Familiarity with control system networking and industrial communications Background in large-scale or multi-site automation projects Compensation Competitive salary aligned with experience and technical background with a range of $100,000 to $160,000.
