Deck builder/ carpenter

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Deck Builder/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing decks, as well as performing various carpentry tasks across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help bring outdoor living spaces to life, ensuring they are durable, functional, and visually appealing. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install decks using a variety of hand tools and power tools with precision and safety in mind Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution Erect metal building frameworks and support structures as needed for deck installations Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks for foundational support or related structures Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to ensure structural integrity Execute masonry work such as stucco or siding applications that complement deck projects Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material handling Manage construction site activities efficiently, maintaining safety standards and quality control throughout each project Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to all safety regulations Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to complete tasks effectively Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on carpentry or deck building projects Strong knowledge of framing carpentry, including woodworking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution Hands-on experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, roofing, siding, plastering, and restoration work is highly desirable Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various construction environments Knowledge of construction management principles to coordinate tasks effectively on-site Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for carpentry and masonry work Experience working with metal building erection techniques is a plus Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to build outdoor spaces that stand the test of time!
