A Typical Day The Defense Litigation Specialist will manage and track routine and non-routine litigation matters. As the Specialist , you will perform factual research of documentation and data to support defense litigation efforts and in response to subpoenas. The Defense Litigation Specialist will : Manage, monitor and track litigation matters, including defense litigation, contested foreclosures, and subpoenas Work with clients and servicing systems to retrieve and provide documentation and loan-level data to in-house and outside counsel in support of defense efforts Research and evaluate findings by attorneys or business partners Resolve litigated issues as directed by in-house counsel Organize case materials and research to be presented to management Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values What You'll Bring Associate's degree or equivalent work experience Financial Services and/or mortgage industry experience required Knowledge pertaining to the legal process and procedures Ability to analyze mortgage industry related documents Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and mortgage related platforms Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
