Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and specialty items, following established recipes and safety guidelines Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Provide friendly customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions about ingredients or dietary needs, and upselling complementary items to enhance their experience Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food handling areas in accordance with food safety regulations Restock shelves and display cases with fresh products, ensuring attractive presentation and proper labeling Handle cash transactions accurately, manage cash handling procedures, and balance registers at the end of shifts Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and temperature controls Experience Previous experience in food preparation or a quick service & fast food restaurant environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while maintaining high-quality service standards Experience in retail math or basic math skills necessary for cash handling and sales transactions Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures within the food industry or grocery store setting Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced environment Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning about food preparation is essential Join us as a Deli Associate to bring energy, precision, and passion to our team!
