Deli (Grocery Store)

Job Overview Join our team as a Deli Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for customers seeking fresh, delicious deli products. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food items, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area. Your culinary experience and food handling skills will ensure every guest enjoys a satisfying experience that keeps them coming back. Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced retail environment. Must be available to work 9am - 5pm or 11am - 7pm as well as Holidays and weekends. Duties Prepare and assemble deli food items, including sandwiches, salads, and specialty products, following established recipes and presentation standards Operate POS systems for weighing and labeling Provide friendly customer service by assisting guests with their selections, upselling products, and answering questions about menu items Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling, sanitation practices, and proper storage of ingredients Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all food products are properly labeled and rotated for freshness Support food safety protocols by adhering to health regulations, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation standards Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles such as quick service or fast food restaurant is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong customer service skills Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively Kitchen or culinary experience in a grocery store or café setting is advantageous Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to serve diverse customers effectively

Pay:

$11.00 - $15.00 per hour
