Deli & Ice Cream Staff

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
• Ensure food is handled and stored safely according to food safety guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and answering any questions they may have
• Use time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operation of the deli
• Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Perform basic math calculations to calculate prices, discounts, and change for customers

Requirements:

• Previous experience in food handling or food service is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Familiarity with operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth operation of the deli
