Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. Harvest Valley Market & Bakery is a local, family owned company looking for friendly, organized and outgoing people to join our team. We're a farm to table market located in Bakerstown, PA. In addition to the 160+ varieties of fruits and vegetables grown on the farm and sold seasonally at the Market, we also carry many other local and non local products! We are currently seeking a dedicated full time (typically minimum of 35 hrs/wk) Deli Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a Deli Supervisor at Harvest Valley Farm Market & Bakery, you will play a crucial role in leading a department with the preparation, production, and display of our deli products.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of pre-sliced "grab & go" meats and cheese, made to order sandwiches and other products in accordance with proper food safety procedures
• Package, label and restock deli items as needed throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area. Including but not limited to; display areas, prep tables, sinks, utensils, slicers & coolers and floors
• Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and displayed attractively
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and orders with professionalism
• Follow food safety standards and procedures at all times
• Safely handle equipment such as slicers, ovens, knives and box cutters
• Record customer orders accurately and assemble sandwiches quickly and accurately
• Keep track of deli inventory, plan weekly sale items, submit weekly orders to vendors for products

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Weekend availability required
• Previous experience in food preparation or the food industry is required
• Ability to multitask and switch between tasks quickly and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures correctly
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from market management and owners
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, also bending, twisting and lifting with good body mechanics
• ServSafe certification, or willing to obtain ServSafe certification Pay range provided for this position is dependent on relevant skills and experience.
