Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of the deli department. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for food.

Duties:

• Assist customers in selecting deli products and provide recommendations based on their preferences
• Prepare and package deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and meats
• Operate deli equipment including slicers, graters. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including proper storage and rotation of products
• Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of deli products
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints

Experience:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food industry
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
