Delivery Driver 1099 Hourly

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated 1099 Delivery Driver with their own refrigerated van or truck to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations on routes while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients and ensuring their satisfaction with our services. The Delivery Driver will operate their own delivery vehicle and may be required to perform heavy lifting, load and unload products, and navigate various routes efficiently. Duties Safely operate our refrigerated van for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage. Both in town and out of town. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns professionally. Maintain accurate delivery communication and documentation as required. Utilize equipment such as pallet jack and dolly for loading and unloading as necessary. Qualifications Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a courier role is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including familiarity with inventory management systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record experience driving inner city. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day. Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools is essential. Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is desirable but not mandatory.
