Delivery Driver 24300 Brest, Taylor, MI 48180 Up to $25 an hour - Full-time Up to $25 an hour - Full-time Delivery Driver The Delivery Driver's primary function is to ensure the safe operation of company owned vehicles and trailers from our Taylor, MI location. Deliveries will include transporting trees, shrubs, hardwood mulch, topsoil and other landscape related materials to the customer's job site or holding yards throughout Lower Michigan and Northern Ohio. The position requires individual to conduct themselves in a professional manner that represents the image of and demonstrates the values of Landscape Supply Inc. (LSI). Must operate company owned vehicles in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations while abiding by company policies and procedures. Responsible for pre and post delivery vehicle inspections. Must report all safety and/or vehicle issues immediately to superior. Must be able to maintain and report accurate delivery records. Responsible for mapping time effective and safe routes for all deliveries. Assist with the loading of material at LSI yard as required. Responsible to ensure all material is properly secured in order to prevent shifting or damage during transport. Work with customer at delivery site during the unloading of material. Must maintain superior cleanliness inside the cab area. Other assigned duties by superior as required. Greets every customer and vendor with a handshake and smile. Reports directly to the Assistant Operations Manager. Must be 18+ years of age. Formal truck driving school certificate of completion. Current CDL-A driver's license AND valid DOT medical card. 5+ years of city driving experience. Ability to pass a driving background check and pre-employment physical and drug screening. Truck, trailer and small equipment maintenance experience desired. Familiar with skid steer and forklift operations desired. Autonomous individual with excellent time management skills capable of working well with limited supervision. Be physically fit and able to repetitively lift up to 50#.
