JOB SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver is a position where the incumbent is responsible for the timely delivery of various items and products. The incumbent is expected to exhibit a high degree of Customer Service to ALMADEN clientele as well as ALMADEN personnel. The Driver is responsible for following established Delivery/Shipping/Receiving guidelines for efficiency which are in alignment with ALMADEN Quality Policy. Duties and Responsibilities  Follow written instructions and adjust to changing priorities throughout the work day  Load and unload deliveries/pick-ups in a timely manner  Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor  Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the delivery vehicle as well as regular maintenance (for example: check oil, water, tire pressure, etc.)  Must adhere to all California Motor Vehicle laws and exhibit responsible driving behavior  Verify all packages at intended delivery site to ensure 100% accuracy of delivery  Request the customer signature on all proof of delivery documents at each delivery site  Required to notify ALMADEN Management of any change in status of your California Drivers License, or any accidents involving company vehicle regardless of fault  Perform other production, or maintenance duties as needed by ALMADEN Management  The normal work week is 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required at various times throughout the year. Required Skills  21 years of age or older - clean DMV record - NO POINTS  Basic math skills  Basic geographic knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area  Knowledge of scales and weight measurement units  Minimum 1-2 years in delivery driving/shipping/receiving preferred  Capable of working in a deadline driven environment  Knowledge of freight shipment processing  Entry level experience on the PC platform  Experience with manual, and powered pallet jack & other material handling equipment  Certified Forklift Operator Certificate is required  Interpersonal and communication skills  Team player contributing new methods to increase efficiency  Must understand written and oral communication in English  Must pass background check and be eligible for employment in the

U.S. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 70 pounds and is required to follow safe lifting guidelines.  Position requires employee to kneel, bend, stand and climb up onto truck beds.  Use a computer keyboard and monitor as may be needed..

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals and outside weather conditions.
