Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists and hygienists by providing chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix , ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality Provide patient education on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions in clear, understandable terms Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient flow Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and medical documentation standards Familiarity with dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines, along with proper aseptic technique Strong understanding of infection control practices, anatomy knowledge, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently and confidently Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members Join us in creating healthier smiles!
