Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology efficiently and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for smooth workflow Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments, especially in pediatric dentistry cases Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized dental clinic environment in accordance with OSHA standards Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of medical documentation and records management Familiarity with EMR systems like Curve, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft, is highly preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with the dental team Certification in dental assisting or related field is preferred; ongoing training in medical coding or specialized areas such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
