Job Description

Company Overview West Hill Family Dental is a dedicated family practice committed to providing comprehensive dental care in a welcoming environment. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental care, assist with patient management, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental clinic. Your expertise will help create a comfortable environment for patients while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Duties Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation during procedures. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions. Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment adhering to OSHA standards. Experience Radiology certification required to be compliant with the State Dental Board Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for scheduling, records management, and billing. Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with children is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and dental imaging techniques. $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
