Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic position, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures with precision and confidence Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques Take dental X-rays, BWS, PAs, Panos Take intraoral pictures Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic to accurately document patient information and treatment details Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance coverage, and managing medical documentation Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures to ensure their safety and comfort Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas meet OSHA standards for safety and cleanliness Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding is a plus Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Certification in dental assisting or related field preferred; knowledge of HIPAA regulations essential Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
