Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality treatments while ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and clinical assistance will help create a positive experience from the moment patients walk through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment dedicated to improving smiles and boosting confidence. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and ensure all dental equipment is ready for procedures, maintaining strict infection control standards. Assist dentists during various treatments such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, documenting treatment details accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and assisting with appointment scheduling as a dental receptionist when needed. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit, demonstrating thorough knowledge of anatomy and medical documentation standards. Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment suitable for general dentistry and specialized fields like endodontics or prosthodontics. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination in the clinic setting. Experience strongly preferred but not required. Radiology Permit required. Pay based off of experience
Pay:
$16.00 - $30.00 per hour
