Dental Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients. We are in office Monday-Thursday 7-3:30. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Utilize 3D scanners for precise imaging and documentation. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Softdent. Perform basic laboratory tasks, including impressions and temporary crowns. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and processing medical coding when necessary. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Proficiency in using dental technology, including 3D scanners and X-ray equipment. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Softdent is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding practices is advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills related to endodontics and other dental specialties.
