Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including general dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
• Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety

Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
• Knowledge of medical terminology and dental coding procedures
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
