Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dentistry-by-the-Sea. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our dental practice and is someone who is experienced, takes initiative and acts with professionalism. This position involves assisting chair side procedures, setting up and cleaning operatories, sterilizing instruments, assisting hygiene when needed. The days are Monday-Thursday. Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling and coordinate appointments efficiently with Dentrix Utilize Dentrix for electronic health record management Ensure compliance with privacy regulations regarding patient confidentiality Support the team in daily operations Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and doctors to facilitate care Assist dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring patient comfort. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Preparing and setting up treatment rooms Ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for Assisting chairside during procedures Sterilizing instruments Taking X-rays Assisting hygienists as needed Requirements MA Radiology Certification Basic Life Support Certification Experience as a dental assistant Experience Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, but willing to train the right person Proficient in managing medical records and familiarity with electronic health records systems, particularly Dentrix Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Strong organization skills and attention to detail are essential in this role If you are upbeat, friendly, responsible we would love to meet you and discuss the position further.
