Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including chairside assisting with procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions or concerns in a friendly manner. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical documentation. Uphold infection control standards by following proper sterilization protocols and maintaining a clean clinical environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and the unique needs of pediatric patients. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings with a focus on four-handed dentistry techniques. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Competence in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology relevant to dental care.
