Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to manage medical documentation effectively. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards. Manage medical documentation, including patient records and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental technology such as 3D scanners and X-ray equipment as required. Maintain an organized and clean work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Support front office operations by performing duties related to dental reception when necessary, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Stay current with dental terminology and best practices to enhance patient care. Requirements Previous experience working in a dental clinic is required. Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and X-ray procedures is advantageous. Experience using Ascend or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Certification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
