Dental Assistant Floater / Receptionist

We are a dental office in Oakland Gardens, NY looking for receptionist/assistant floater personnel. In order to apply for this position, you must meet the following criteria: 1) Must be available at least 24-30 hours per week 2) Experience working in a dental office 3) Professionally bilingual in Spanish, Korean, or Russian and English. 4) Must be able to multitask 5) Must be friendly and able to communicate well with others 6) Experience with dental insurance breakdown, assisting during dental procedures 7) Experience assisting during General dentistry procedures, including taking X-rays.

Job Description:

• Managing phone and email communications for the office
• Scheduling patients and registering new patients
• Actively managing the schedule for maximum productivity and efficiency
• Verifying insurance
• Collecting co-payments
• Coordinating referrals to specialty providers
• Maintaining our electronic charts by properly scanning all important documents and ID cards
• Upon request: Assisting with cleaning and setting up rooms, cleaning instruments, restocking, taking xrays, assisting during dental procedures.
• Maintaining a neat and clean working environment, by tidying up at the end of the day
