Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fully private dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, utilizing medical imaging techniques. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit, including medical coding as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix software, ensuring efficient patient flow within the clinic. Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their unique needs during visits. Assist with prosthodontics and endodontics procedures as directed by the dentist. Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when necessary, contributing to treatment planning. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable, particularly in general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, or endodontics. Proficiency with OpenDental software and familiarity with medical records management is an advantage. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and 3D scanning technology is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory.
