Dental Billing Specialist

Job description: Dental Billing Specialist - Full Time Newton Street Dental | S. Hadley, MA Newton Street Dental and Salmon Brook Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. We are a warm, professional office providing general and implant dentistry, and we take pride in delivering excellent patient care in a supportive environment.

Primary Role:

Insurance Processing Posting Denials/Appeals Verification Statements Collections Core Responsibilities :

Insurance Verifacation:

Confirming patient eligibility, active coverage, and specific benefits before appointments to prevent billing surprises.

Claims Submission & Tracking:

Preparing and submitting claims using accurate CDT codes and monitoring them through the reimbursement process.

Patient Education:

Explaining complex insurance terms, co-pays, deductibles, and annual maximums to patients.

Denial Management:

Investigating unpaid or denied claims, filing appeals, and resubmitting claims with necessary documentation like x-rays or narratives.

Records Management:

Keeping Patients files updated with current insurance details and posting payments to patient ledger.

Requirements:

Previous dental front desk experience required Knowledge of Eaglesoft required. Strong communication and organizational skills Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to patient care
