Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Front Desk Specialist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be the first impression patients experience! This vital role combines excellent customer service with efficient administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations. You will be the welcoming face of our practice, managing patient interactions, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical record management. Your proactive approach will help create a positive environment that promotes patient satisfaction and clinic success. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software — Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring proper billing and coding with CDT codes Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including collecting payments and helping implement health records Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls appropriately Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of health information Maintain organized dental records, files, and billing documentation to support clinic operations and audits Experience Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred, especially in front desk or administrative roles within clinics or hospitals Proficiency with dental software system Dentrix is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification processes, and medical billing/coding including CPT and ICD coding standards• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Familiarity with office management tools like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills for accurate data entry Experience with health information management systems and dental terminology enhances your ability to support clinical workflows effectively Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care!
