This position provides high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings and requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain a welcoming environment for patients. Schedule:

This position will start at 1 day a week (Fridays) with a possibility of additional days in the future. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, including the application of fluoride and sealants. Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental software for patient documentation and record management. Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Other duties supporting the dentist is required Qualifications Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in New York State Experience with pediatric dentistry Current BLS certification Strong commitment to preventive care and patient education Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach Detail-oriented with a compassionate and professional demeanor Alignment with a patient-first philosophy focused on quality over quantity
