Dental Hygienist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and experience working with general dentistry patients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital part in maintaining optimal oral health for our patients while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning. Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review. Take digital dental radiographs ; ensure proper documentation review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office standards. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment. Collaborate with dentists on patient care plans. Ensure compliance with all OSHA guidelines related to infection control and safety procedures. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix preferred. Experience in general dentistry, of at least 2-3 years Strong skills in patient care, patient assessment, and documentation review. Prior dental office or clinic experience is preferred Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
