Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to monitor patient health status Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays while ensuring proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology Support pediatric dentistry procedures by providing gentle chairside assistance tailored to young patients' needs Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes Maintain a sterile environment through infection control procedures and proper handling of dental instruments and supplies Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with knowledge of dental assisting techniques Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and patient records management Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control standards Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures including four-handed dentistry techniques Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical records management Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations including pediatrics Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical coding practices to ensure confidentiality and accurate billing processes Join us in creating healthier smiles!
