As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional service in a friendly and professional environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs. Stay updated on dental terminology, medical records management, and advancements in dental hygiene practices. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology is essential. Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting preferred. Familiarity with infection control standards and practices. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills, particularly when interacting with pediatric patients or their guardians.
