We are looking for an experienced and motivated Dental Insurance & Billing Specialist who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in helping patients, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do As our Dental Insurance & Billing Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping patients understand and maximize their insurance benefits while ensuring the financial health of the practice.
Responsibilities include:
Verifying patient dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments Providing clear, detailed benefit breakdowns to patients and treatment coordinators Submitting dental claims electronically, including narratives and attachments such as X-rays Obtaining pre-authorizations and predeterminations for treatment plans Tracking and following up on outstanding claims, appeals, and denials Posting insurance payments accurately and efficiently Managing insurance aging reports and helping reduce outstanding balances and accounts receivable Assisting patients with billing questions and resolving insurance-related concerns with professionalism and compassion Updating patient insurance information and maintaining accurate records Helping patients navigate financial arrangements and payment options when needed Supporting the front desk and contributing to a collaborative team environment What We're Looking For We are searching for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3+ years of experience in dental front office, insurance coordination, or dental billing Strong understanding of dental insurance policies, CDT codes, and common dental procedures Experience with dental practice management software, insurance portals, and
Microsoft Office Ideal Personality Traits:
Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team player who enjoys collaborating with others Excellent communication and patient service skills Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to explain complex insurance benefits in a patient-friendly way Comfortable handling a high-volume, fast-paced environment while staying organized and efficient Why Join Our Team?
