About the
Role:
The Dental Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a dental practice. This position is responsible for overseeing daily administrative functions, managing staff, and maintaining a high standard of patient care and satisfaction. The manager coordinates scheduling, billing, and compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring that the office operates within legal and ethical guidelines. They serve as a key liaison between dental professionals, patients, and external vendors, fostering a collaborative and welcoming environment. Ultimately, the Dental Office Manager drives operational excellence to support the delivery of quality dental services and the growth of the practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare administrative role. Proficiency with dental practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, billing procedures, and regulatory compliance. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Certified Dental Office Manager (CDOM) or equivalent credential. Experience with advanced dental software platforms such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar. Background in human resources management or staff development. Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations specific to dental practices. Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and manage change effectively.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily office operations including patient scheduling, billing, and record keeping to ensure efficient workflow. Supervise, train, and evaluate front office and administrative staff to maintain high performance and professional standards. Oversee patient communications, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns to enhance patient satisfaction and retention. Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, insurance requirements, and dental practice regulations to mitigate risk. Coordinate with dental professionals and external vendors to maintain office supplies, equipment, and service contracts. Prepare financial reports, manage budgets, and monitor accounts receivable to support the financial health of the practice. Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and patient care quality.

Monday - Friday, Some Saturdays. Hours Typically are from 8am-5pm, however it is dependent on the Provider of the day.
