In this pivotal role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to billing. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes Collect payments, process medical collections, and manage billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Maintain precise medical records and documentation review for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating medical history and dental information Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth flow of patient care plans and treatment schedules Handle filing of dental records, medical records, and other administrative documents efficiently Support office management tasks such as inventory control, appointment reminders, and general clerical duties Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical or dental setting Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and healthcare documentation standards Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms like Meditech or Epic Experience with insurance verification processes and medical billing procedures including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments preferred Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations with attention to detail in documentation review Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and office management tasks Previous clinic or hospital experience highly desirable; familiarity with multi-line phone systems is a plus Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing outstanding dental care through exceptional administrative support.
