Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control are maintained across all dental instruments and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while honing your skills in sterile processing and dental procedures. Responsibilities Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved methods and equipment to prevent cross-contamination. Manage inventory of sterilized instruments and supplies, ensuring all materials are available for daily procedures. Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument usage, and inventory levels in compliance with health regulations. Assist with the preparation of dental treatment rooms by organizing sterile instruments and ensuring all supplies meet safety standards. Follow strict aseptic techniques during instrument handling to uphold infection control protocols. Understand basic medical terminology related to dentistry and anatomy to accurately process instruments and assist with patient safety. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to sterilization procedures. Experience Prior experience in sterile processing or medical device sterilization is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to dentistry enhances understanding of instrument handling and patient safety. Familiarity with inventory management systems helps maintain accurate stock levels of supplies. Basic understanding of medical terminology ensures clear communication within the dental team. Demonstrated ability to follow aseptic techniques meticulously is essential for maintaining infection control standards.
