$25-$27/hrPOSITION SUMMARY
The Treatment Coordinator performs a variety of Dental administrative duties including calculating fees for treatment; coordinating patient financial arrangements; educating patients on individual treatment plan for given diagnosis; implementing financial policies; discussing payment plans, pre-estimates and patient follow-up and coding.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and compile all information to ensure treatment plan is complete before presenting to the patient. 2. Discuss the Treatment Plans with patient and/or patient's legal guardian. Obtain signature on the Treatment Plan and give patient a copy. 3. Work with Dental Clinical Team and Dental Front office Team to ensure complete, current and accurate dental records. 4. Communicate with Dental Clinical Team and Dental Front office Team regarding Frequency Limitations, Covered and Non-covered services of the Denti-Cal Program, Private Insurance, etc. 5. Participate in training of dental staff on use of ADA/CDT codes. 6. Determine eligibility for Medi-Cal, private insurance, sliding scale and Purchases Referred Care. 7. Inform patients and ensure understanding of all treatment policies including (but not limited to): billing/lab policies related to completion (or non-completion of) crown, bridge or prosthodontics services. responsibilities in obtaining a Sliding Scale Approval for services. financial responsibilities with respect to their particular insurance coverage. 8. Assist with the dental pre-authorization process. 9. Maintain Treatment Review schedules and track Treatment Reviews to ensure patients are being scheduled for a Treatment Review in a timely manner after a Full Exam has been completed. 10. Enter all demographic changes, telephone and/or actions as indicated by the patient into EHR accurately. 11. Communicate with private providers in the community to coordinate dental care and ensure continuity. 12. Maintain appropriate boundaries concerning advice and patient triage. 13. Communicate frequently with your supervisor, Tactical and Clinical Team regarding patient requests, patient emergencies, patient treatment, scheduling issues or other aspects of operations to ensure patient care needs are met. 14. Effectively maintain and protect the confidentiality of all medical records and patient information. 15. Conduct outreach to patients that have not been seen recently in the dental department when assigned (ex. AI/AN patient, children 0-20, pregnant patients, diabetic patients and urgent medical patients). 16. Help enforce Patient Conduct and communicate Patient Rights and Responsibilities. 17. Provide Patient with relevant information and resources, including an introduction to our Care Coordination team. 18. This role is required to occasionally participate in Chapa-De sanctioned community health events such as health fairs. 19. Attend seminars and trainings to maintain current knowledge of processes and systems. 20. Attend all CDIH mandatory meetings and other meetings as requested. 21. May be assigned to other CDIH locations based on agency needs or expected to perform Treatment Coordinator duties for another site. 22. Inform your direct Supervisor or Dental Practice Manager of matters of operational or procedural issues and recommend solutions. 23. Foster an environment that promotes trust and cooperation among all staff ofCDIH. 24.
Comply with clinic policies and procedures to ensure that the principles of CDIH are implemented. 25. Understand and promote the mission, vision, and values of Chapa-De both in the workplace and in the community. 26. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to position including HIPAA, Scope of Practice, Sexual Harassment, Accreditation Standards, OSHA and the Agency's Policies & Procedures. 27. Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduate or GED equivalent. 2. Three (3) years Dental Receptionist experience, or current CA RDA license, or experience as a Dental Assistant. 3. Demonstrated proficiency in ADA coding. 4. Demonstrated basic mathematic skills required, such as the ability to accurately calculate fees and payments. 5. Demonstrated working knowledge of dental insurance terminology & billing of ADA dental claims. 6. Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. 7. Demonstrated ability to learn and understand regulations governing eligibility for Purchased & Referred Care. 8. Demonstrated problem solving skillset with a focus on detail. 9. Demonstrated effective communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work effectively with others in stressful situations while maintaining a cohesive and professional working environment. 10. Excellent people skills; customer service orientation. 11. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and complete it on a timely basis with minimal supervision. 12. Ability to cope with multiple distractions and interruptions at the same time and ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.About Capital Staffing Inc:
